It is the largest model in Neat’s Classic Series, a full 12 cm taller than the Mystique Classic, but still quite compact and living room-friendly. This two-way speaker pairs an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter with a mid/bass driver from Neat’s flagship Ultimatum series. It’s a compact floorstander, just over 90cm tall and less than 22cm wide. Despite its size, it’s capable of surprisingly deep and controlled bass, making it ideal for small to medium rooms — or larger ones if paired with the right electronics.
The Elite Classic retains the original’s slim cabinet, but features major upgrades inside and out. These include improved cabinet bracing, an all-new 6.5″ bass-mid driver, and the addition of an AMT tweeter for greater speed, clarity and openness at the top end.
Yes. The Elite Classic uses a dual-ported design, with one port at the rear and another firing downward through the plinth. This helps distribute bass energy more evenly, making the speaker relatively forgiving of placement — even close to a rear wall. A little experimentation with spacing and toe-in can help get the most from them, and we’re happy to advise.
The Elite Classic is easy to drive, but it responds beautifully to high-quality amplification. Even modest amps can bring out its musicality, while more capable gear will reveal just how refined and expressive these speakers can be.
